Alejandro Victorero is a Cuban-American filmmaker. He holds a Licentiate degree in Film and Media from the University of Los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts from the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California. While at USC, he was the recipient of a grant by George Lucas and winner of the Stark Special Project grant to produce a film mentored by Oscar winner producer, Tony Bill.
Victorero has produced and directed several film and TV Projects, counting among them 172 episodes of the half-hour show ARTV, winning the DIRECTV award for best cultural show in 2011. His films: Una Vida, Un País: Alberto Arvelo Ramos (2011), En lo mas Alto (2013), Trazos en la Cumbre (2014), Rojo (2014), The Janitor (2016), The Ties That Bind Us (2019), among others, have granted him several awards in recognized film festivals. He has also produced numerous advertising productions, including touristic campaigns for Venezuela's National Institute of Tourism, as well as music videos. In 2015 he leaded the team that developed and designed the first immersive media show in Venezuela, which was presented in the National Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas. From 2015 to 2017 he was the showrunner for two 13-episode seasons of the TV series Condiciones, that followed real life heroes who were leading projects to empower their communities across the country. Winning the Anibal Nazoa Journalism Award to the best documentary Series in 2017. He was also part of the production team of the Lionsgate TV Show Swedish Dicks, starring Keanu Reeves and Peter Stormare and the 50-million-dollar film The Liberator, starring Edgar Ramirez, Danny Huston, Gary Lewis, Maria Valverde and Imanol Arias.
Most recently they were associate producers in the TV show pilot of Valley Slice, working with two-time Oscar nominee Ed Lachman. For the past year, he’s been working with famous Hollywood screenwriter John August (Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Aladdin).
